Both of these units are analog and are comparable in price ($125 +/-) Many have used the Tactical Sport and there are reviews on them nearly everywhere but, the MSA Sordin BASICs seem to fly under the radar.

Sordin > Comtac for me because it's more bass-y so it doesn't hurt my head as much when I listen to it. With sordins and comtacs you can hear someone full walking(either holding the walk key or scrolled all the way down) and that's a huge advantage. That being said either the Sordin or ComTac 2 are a capable Tarkov headset with the preference largely to you based on sound preferences from the YouTube sound test at the top of this article.
I found the Sordins muddy the treble a lot. Sordins, crinkle upon crinkle, can hear everything, but head-ache inducing for me. Sports, weather noise is lowered, people loud as hell, hears people i.e. 10m away like they're next to you. MSA Sordin Supreme PRO-X/L active headphones (Sordin) is a headset item in Escape from Tarkov.

All in game headsets sound different; ComTac2, Sordin, Tac Sport, RAC and Gssh(?) all have their own characteristics. ‘Hurting peoples’ ears’ is completely subjective and I imagine not an intended feature of any of the items (apart from the Gssh which were objectively designed to destroy eardrums and should be discarded at every “Should you go for a 3M PELTOR ComTac XPI (= ComTac V in USA) or a SORDIN Supreme MIL CC Slim headset?” A question asked by many and with this video it finally gets an answer.

PELTOR ComTac XPI vs SORDIN Supreme MIL CC Slim – An Objective Comparison The 3M PELTOR ComTac XPI and the SORDIN Supreme MIL CC Slim. Both products engineered to do the same thing, both also very well known amongst shooting and military communities and yet both very different from each other.
COMTAC are thus a good choice for team exercises or combat training. The boom microphone can be easily removed if it is not needed. Comtac’s earpads are more comfortable than Sordin’s. As headband is a bended metalic piece, it tend to squeeze our skull. Hope get loose with usage. Sordin and Liberator use each a different system. All in game headsets sound different; ComTac2, Sordin, Tac Sport, RAC and Gssh(?) all have their own characteristics.
